Nestled in the heart of The Netherlands, just outside of the city of Rotterdam, lies one of The Netherlands most iconic and historic sites. Kinderdijk, meaning Children’s Dyke in Dutch, is one of the oldest windmill villages in The Netherlands. With 19 well kept, preserved and functioning windmills, Kinderdijk is a symbol of Dutch heritage that captures just how water savvy the people of the region are and have been, for nearly 1000 years.
The views were both iconic and breathtaking, and ever bit as picturesque as you would imagine! Cheers to living in a world of post card worthy photos, friends – go and take them!
