The City of Gnomes

The fairytale-esque city of Wrocław (vrots-wahf) is sprinkled with hundreds of little gnome friends, also known as dwarfs or ‘krasnale’ to the locals. These festive little friends decorate doorways, stalk street corners, and hide among alleyways, inviting passersby to take part in a childlike game of hide and seek. These friendly friends are not all about fun and games and pay homage to a time in history when communism still ruled Poland.

Here are a few of my favorite finds from gnoming with my gnomies

Cheers to indulging your inner child and all things whimsical, friends!

Love them, in this country they wouldn’t last someone would take them or they would be politically incorrect!
